As seen in Wedding Sparrow... "As if we needed another reason to love film photography, we are handed this stunningly beautiful and seemingly coastal inspiration by Natashia Nicole Photography... located in the Midwest. The light dances on the waves and the nearly white colored sand almost deceives you, telling a story of an ocean rather than a lake. We love the way film softens the colors and blends the two worlds seamlessly. The real star of this show, however, is that absolutely heart stopping Elizabeth Dye gown, one that has dominated our Pinterest boards for years (really!) and been a Wedding Sparrow favorite for quite some time...

Drawing from inspiration from the woods and lakes of north central Wisconsin, Et Voila Events and Carly McCray Photography came together to create an intimate elopement that was stunning, full of memorable moments and so beautiful. “There’s something magical and uniquely private about marrying your best friend in the middle of the woods! Tall pines reaching into the sky, and sandy lake shorelines were the unique setting for our couple, as central Wisconsin overflows with this type of incredible scenery. We wanted to showcase that, along with talented local vendors that reside in these woods and in Wisconsin! We envisioned a palette from very organic, raw elements of the earth—greens found in the natural settings, moody blacks, and soft blues and grays.”
Their initial dream for creating an elopement included elements combined with overflowing greenery and florals, local pine and foraged materials from the woods. “We lit up thinking of telling a love story in these verdant surroundings we love to call home. Style inspiration for the overall feel was simplicity, and letting the settings take center stage to the love story.”
Their intimate dinner with a handful of friends followed in a stone cottage in the woods. The cottage stands apart with its hand-hewn beams and charming fireplace, with another overflowing floral installation above the cozy fireplace.
Senimann Calligraphy crafted raw, organic invitations with watercolor and lettering in blacks, blues, and grays with gold foil accents. Black taper candles filled the farm table, using simple organic-shaped dinnerware accented with gold flatware. Silk + Willow adornments line the plates and the bride’s bouquet, as well as delicate greens on the table, with rustic wood chairs and simple gold vessels.
The intimate wedding day ended at sunset along the sandy shores of a lake, nestled in the pines, surrounded with light, love, and just the two of them.
